A DCP (Dry Chemical Powder) Flooding System is an automatic or manual fire suppression system designed to control and extinguish Class B (flammable liquid) and Class C (electrical) fires in enclosed or semi-enclosed areas. It utilizes dry chemical powder as the extinguishing agent, which is discharged to blanket the fire, interrupting the chemical reaction and suppressing flames quickly.

1. Powder Storage Cylinder

   • Contains the dry chemical agent (commonly Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP) or Sodium Bicarbonate).

   • Designed to withstand high pressures for rapid discharge.

2. Discharge Nozzles

   • Strategically placed to ensure uniform coverage of the protected area.

   • Directs the powder cloud toward the fire source.

3. Control System

   • Automatic Activation: Triggered by fire detectors such as heat or flame sensors.

   • Manual Activation: Hand-operated levers or push buttons for emergency discharge.

4. Piping Network

   • Connects the storage cylinder to the nozzles for fast agent delivery.

5. Pressure or Actuation System

   • Gas or stored pressure propels the dry chemical powder.
